11 October 1884. Wilton Rovers played Gala Thistle at Hazelwood. Thistle won the match by a goal and try to a goal. It was noted that the Wilton Rovers players were lighter than the Thistle players. Jamieson at half-back played well as did Ker at quarter (centre) for Rovers.
