Founded: 1969 with the formation of the school.
Disbanded:
Home ground: Edinburgh
Notes: This was the former pupils side of St. Augustine’s High School in Edinburgh.
St. Augustine’s High School was formed in 1969, the merger of two catholic high schools: Holy Cross Academy and St. Andrews Junior School.
Holy Cross was already notable for its rugby union and cricket former pupil sides; and these continued alongside the Old Augustinians rugby club. Only the Holy Cross cricket club remains extant, the Holy Cross rugby union side merged with Ferranti RFC to form Inverleith RFC in 1996.
St. Augustine’s and Forrester rugby club now have shared facilities. St. Augustine’s used to hold a lease at Inverleith but this is no longer used.
